Make the most of your event!
Friends, I am reaching out to you all with the hope that you can help me share this news far and wide. My name is Robert, I am 59 years old, and I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I need a Kidney Transplant, and that a living donor transplant would provide a longer life expectancy than a deceased donor kidney or dialysis. It could also occur more quickly than a deceased donor kidney transplant. As you may know, I have FSGS and it has made everyday of my life extremely difficult. Every day is a battle. I found out about my kidney disease when I was 20 years old and while signing up for the Armed Services. I did great on the ASFAB but I could not pass the physical. The recruiter told me to go home and drink plenty of water and come back and re-take the physical in 2 weeks. I did as he suggested but when I came back 2 weeks later I failed the physical again. The recruiter told me that I should go and see my doctor immediately. I want to be healthy again! I want to enjoy living . I look forward to the day when I am not tired, unwell and can live my life to the fullest. A kidney from a living donor could provide me with more years of life than if I were to stay on dialysis or receive a deceased donor kidney. If you would consider being my living donor, please contact the Christ Hospital transplant team at (513)-585-1440. Donations costs are covered by my insurance, and the information you share will be kept confidential with the transplant team. Please like and Share this post on your own page, then many more people can hear my story. Thank you my friends!
